We’re Here for You
We understand the uncertainty and fear you are experiencing right now as a result of COVID-19. While avoiding infection should be everyone’s first priority, we have received many questions about our availability to help patients with their health problems, and we want you to know we are here for you.
Even though Governor Polis relaxed the Stay-at-Home to the Safer-at-Home guidelines, it is important to realize that Colorado continues to experience hundreds of COVID-19 cases daily, according to the CDC, and each of those cases represents the possibility of widespread community infection. It is particularly important therefore that we all maintain our social distancing and watch closely for any increase in the spread of infection.
At New West Physicians, the health and well-being of our patients guide all that we do. Important steps we’ve taken for our patients include:
If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or other upper respiratory symptoms, please call your primary care doctor’s office. They will assist you in determining how best to care for your needs.
Video visits are now available for routine visits and physicals and allow you to the get the care you need from the comfort of your own home. Video visits are a way you can be seen quickly and safely during the COVID-19 outbreak. Instead of traveling to our offices, you can see your medical provider with live video using your computer or smartphone with a camera. It is similar to FaceTime or Skype but in a secure application called FollowMyHealth where your information is protected.
All of our clinics are maintaining strict infection control, and we are not seeing patients with suspected COVID-19 virus at our practice sites. Instead, we set up a special clinic where they can be seen by primary care doctors and lung specialists. X-rays and lab testing are available. This will allow us to see everyone who needs care safely.

Again, the health and well-being of our patients drive our work. Rest assured we plan to keep doing everything in our power to help you stay healthy. It is our commitment to you in these trying times.
