“Whenever and wherever the nation has called – in times of darkness and danger as well as in times of peace and prosperity – America’s veterans have been there…proudly carrying the torch of liberty for all to see.” – Gen. Colin Powell
They’ve fought in wars, led peacekeeping missions, responded to disasters and delivered humanitarian aid. And this year – as COVID-19 spread around the globe – they rushed to the front lines of care – supporting our hospitals, clinics and testing sites, and delivering emergency supplies and equipment.
On this Veterans Day, we want to thank the 20 million Americans who answered the nation’s call to serve.
Our service members and veterans share a commitment to never leave a fallen comrade behind. In honor of their allegiance, there is no greater time to unite and together ensure we are serving our veterans. We encourage you to join us in thanking our veterans and their families for their sacrifice and service. And tomorrow, and every day thereafter, let’s continue to support them just as they’ve been there proudly carrying the torch of liberty for all to see and courageously protecting the ideals our nation uniquely offers each of us…our freedoms.
