
Aetna, Banner Network Colorado and others collaborate for accountable care
Health insurer Aetna has partnered with four healthcare organizations in Colorado to help improve the quality of care for patients in several counties and provide patients with increased access to care.
Colorado Health Neighborhoods — Centura Health’s physician-led network of providers — and Banner Network Colorado are participating in the collaboration, along with Lone Tree, Colo.-based New West Physicians and Denver-based Physician Health Partners. More than 800 primary care physicians, 4,000 specialists and 31 hospitals will participate in the accountable care collaboration.

Health-insurance firm Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced on Monday it will collaborate with several health-care provider groups in Colorado to create a network for its accountable-care program, Aetna Whole Health.

Aetna health care service comes to Northern Colorado
Aetna and a selection of Colorado health-care providers are teaming up to provide coordinated care to customers in Northern Colorado and the Denver metro area.
An “accountable care collaboration” with four providers including Banner Network Colorado will be available for self-insured and fully insured customers in January.
