Dr. Dawn Baker was born and raised in Arizona. She earned a degree in Microbiology, graduating cum laude with honors from Northern Arizona, where she held multiple leadership roles. During medical school she loved internal medicine because it provided intellectual challenges along with the ability to make a difference in the lives of patients. She chose to move to Oregon for residency at Providence Portland Medical Center, where she had the opportunity to train with some of the leading specialists in the nation. During these years, volunteering in the US and overseas was a joy for her.
Dr. Baker and her husband had a desire to be with family and moved to beautiful, sunny Colorado. She was impressed with the values, work ethics, and zest for life held by the other providers at Arapahoe Internal Medicine. Her special interests within medicine include cardiology, women’s health, and diabetes management. She hopes to develop strong relationships with her patients and be involved in their overall wellbeing. Her interests outside of medicine include skiing, hiking, running, travel, and photography.
