A native of Michigan, Dr. Gidday attended Hope College where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Biology in 1982. Having fallen in love with Colorado on a family ski trip to Vail in 1976, she moved to Boulder after graduating from college to begin her pursuit of a medical career. Dr. Gidday attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Medicine from 1983-1987 where she earned her Medical degree.
Dr. Gidday then spent the next 3 years in Arizona completing her Internship and Residency with Good Samaritan Hospital and the Veterans Administration’s Internal Medicine Training Program. She spent an additional year at the VA Hospital as a Staff Teaching Attending for the Residency Program she just completed.
Having a desire to move back to Colorado after living in Arizona for 4 years, Dr. Gidday sought an opportunity to start private practice in Littleton in 1991. Two years later she founded Arapahoe Internal Medicine which today is a thriving group of 5 Internists and one Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Gidday has a particular interest in Geriatrics as well as general Internal Medicine. She is an advocate of preventive medicine strategies and wellness approaches to living. She also has an interest in women’s health, osteoporosis and menopause management.
