Philosophy:
My practice interests have developed from a numberof sources. During my training at the University of Michigan, I worked with physicians at the top of their fields and in so doing, learned about the diagnosis and management of both complicated and unusual medical conditions. This experience also introduced me to the value of the primary care model, in which a designated physician coordinates a patient's care among specialists. I prefer the image of PCP (primary care physician) not as "gatekeeper" but rather as the integrator of care. By definition, an Internist deals with medical conditions and diseases throughout every system in the body, and the primary care physician's role is in "looking at the whole picture" to give quality continuing healthcare.
I dedicate to providing comprehensive medical care to adults of all ages and enjoy challenges of managing multiple diseases in the elderly. My goal for all patients is to feel their concerns have been heard by a physician who is interested not only in their healing process but in them as individuals. The most rewarding part of my job is knowing my patients as people building lasting relationships of trust and cooperation.
Personal:
I enjoy marathons, trail running and hiking
