David Glasscock, MD

Practice:  Dr. Glasscock enjoys providing the comprehensive family medical care for which he was trained, and has practiced for over twenty-five years.  As a Family Physician, it is not uncommon to provide care to three or four generations of a family.  In addition to office surgeries, Dr. Glasscock may be providing newborn care, treatment of an older child’s ear infection, caring for mother’s gynecologic needs, treating dad’s skin problem, grandmother’s diabetes, and grandfather’s high blood pressure, as well as managing great grandmother’s arthritis.  It is this knowledge of the extended family, and the longitudinal care over time that is unique to Family Medicine.

Personal:  Dr. Glasscock is married to his college sweetheart Paula, and they have two sons, a lovely daughter-in-law, and two wonderful granddaughters.  He was born and raised in Decatur, a central Illinois city with agricultural and manufacturing roots.  Dr. Glasscock enjoys spending his personal time cycling, skiing, flying as a private pilot, family activities, and being a very involved grandfather.
